The sun shone bright and hot that morning, its rays beamed down upon Brendan strong as he exited the indoor, and air conditioned, Mauville City, fresh off his third gym victory against the city’s electric type gym. He bid the great indoor city goodbye and began the next leg of his journey to his fourth gym in Lavaridge Town at the foot of Mt. Chimney. Despite the rather ungodly heat that day, Brendan was still as happy as he could be, as he couldn’t wait to challenge the Lavaridge Gym and claim his fourth badge. Little did he know however that his journey would be taking a slight detour.

Brendan, exhausted after the long battle with the leaders of Mossdeep City’s Gym was now ecstatic, jumping up and down, happy as could be. He was so happy in fact that he was actually crying. “We did it, Swampert!” he cried, in between tears, “we won!” Brendan ran up to his partner and jumped right on him and gave him a big hug.
The gym leaders Tate and Liza came up him amongst the celebration and congratulated him for the victory. “Congratulations on your seventh gym victory,̶

Calem entered Lumiose City as if he had just survived a hoard of Ursarings with only his bare hands. The bright lights of the city showing his bruises and wounds from earlier that night.

Surprise! This is a colab that 
and I have been working on for a while (and yes, it's another one with Jeffrey 
). This is a bit of a multi-part submission, since it'll be pretty long and we figure it'll be best to split it up.
So, yeah. Jeffrey being an evil bastard. Again. He is FAR too fun to write.
But ultimately, you guys will have to stay tuned to see how it all turns out...
